The things they don't tell you.

I am going to start off by saying that I absolutely love my daughter.  She is the thing that I am most proud of in the world.  The one thing that I can say that I did right.  I hold no ill will against her.  I don't think of an instance where I blame her for anything (except a few hours of sleep).  This blog isn't a space where I will pour over my child, however, it's a bit of an outlet.  An outpouring of humor and general ridiculousness.  I just sometimes need to say a few things and let this be that place.

Let me tell you a few things that they never tell you when you are going to have a child.  I could bore you with all the things that people DO tell you... but how could things possibly get more depressing you ask? Well, not depressing... Just life altering.

You can start at movies.  They don't really have it right. There's a lot more of the emotion in movies.  They don't really get behind who is feeling what.  The timelines, all the shit that you don't actually need.  I mean really? Do you REALLY need that Baby Bullet or would a normal one suffice? Did you get that bottle warmer or did you realize that running hot water is a proven method? 

The books.  They touch on this in Knocked Up.  The baby books.

This one is full of stuff your pregnant partner doesn't want to hear about.  It just scares her.

I spent a lot of time with "What To Expect..." cause let me be honest here.  I was scared to death and didn't really know what was going on with my fiance.  Her hormones were all over the place and there was something moving inside of her, so it was my only week to week guide of what to expect... Oh I get it.
